The Afghan commando forces have freed 13 people including a police officer from a Taliban prison during an operation in the southern Helmand Province, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said in a statement on Thursday.

Afghan forces confiscated a vehicle, three motorcycles and three telecommunication radios following the raid, the statement added.

The Taliban has not yet commented on the report.
