16 armed Taliban killed and wounded in Balkh

Sixteen Taliban fighters were killed and wounded in clashes with Afghan security forces in northern Balkh province.
The militants were killed and wounded in the Chahar Bolak and Dawlatabad districts of the province on Saturday, according to local security officials.
In a separate report, a police officer was killed and four others were injured when a landmine exploded in Kaldar district of Balkh province.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the reports.
