At least 18 Taliban fighters were killed and wounded in an airstrike in northern Balkh Province of Afghanistan, the 209 Shaheen Military Corps said in a statement.

The statement added that the Taliban fighters attempted to attack a supply convoy of Afghan security forces on Jowzjan-Balkh highway but were targeted in an airstrike, as a result, 9 Taliban insurgents were killed and 9 others were wounded.

The Taliban has not yet commented on the report.
