20 Afghan army soldiers freed from Taliban prison in Nimruz

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said in a released statement on Saturday that 20 Afghan army soldiers were released from a Taliban-run prison in Nimruz Province.
Afghan security forces conducted an operation against a Taliban prison in Khashrud district of Nimruz and released 17 ANA members and three policemen, the statement added.
Seven armed Taliban fighters, including a key commander of the group named Bashir, were killed in the operation.
The Taliban have not commented on the report.
