235 new cases registered in Afghanistan; total 2,704

235 new positive cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Afghanistan in the past 24 hours, according to Public Health Ministry.
The new cases were registered in 18 provinces from 581 suspected samples, spokesman for the ministry Wahidullah Mayar said.
According to the ministry, 63 cases were registered in Kabul, 54 in Kandahar, 19 in Herat, 14 in Panjshir, 13 in Takhar, 12 in Nangarhar, 10 in Samangan, 10 in Ghor, 9 in Baghlan, 7 in Wardak, 5 in Badghis, 5 in Bamyan, 5 in Laghman, 3 in Sar-e Pol, 2 in Parwan, 2 in Kunar, 1 in Farah and 1 in Helmand province, bringing the total to 2,704.
Also, 12 people have died of the virus in Ghazni, Balkh, Faryab, Parwan, Nagarhar, Kunduz and Bamyan provinces over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 85.
14 people have also recovered in Herat, Nangarhar and Laghman provinces, taking the tally to 385.
Spokesman for the ministry has once again urged people to take its instructions seriously, as the virus is vastly spreading throughout the country.
