Heavy rainfall and flooding have killed at least 100 people and injured 150 others in Parwan Province of Afghanistan, the State Ministry for Disaster Management said.

According to initial reports, tens of people are also missing.

Flooding caused by heavy rainfall has washed away homes on Wednesday morning, according to local officials.

More than 300 homes have been destroyed and financial losses have been inflicted on people as a result of the flooding, officials further added.
