30 Taliban militants killed in Afghan forces ops in Samangan Province

209 Shaheen Corps in northern Afghanistan reported that more than 30 Taliban militants were killed in Samangan Province.
In a released statement, 209 corps said that the militants were killed on Monday night (2 September) during aerial and ground operations conducted by Afghan forces in Chapchal area of Lower Darah Sof district.
Local officials in Samangan say that Mawlawi Shah, military in charge of the Taliban for lower Darah Sof, Rauf Khaksar, deputy shadow district chief of the Taliban for upper Dara Sof and Hanzala, a senior commander of the group were killed during the operations.
The operations were conducted after Taliban carried out an attack on a military outpost. Afghan forces suffered no casualties in the incident.
In a separate report, Afghan security forces reported to have conducted a massive operation in Balkh district of northern Balkh Province.
