34 Taliban militants were killed and injured during separate operations conducted by Afghan forces in northern Balkh, Sar-e Pol and Faryab provinces.

Afghan forces carried out an aerial raid on a Taliban hideout in Chemtal district of Balkh, killing six Taliban, injuring nine others and destroying quantity of their weapons,

In a separate report, four Taliban insurgents were killed and eight others sustained injuries during clashes with Afghan security forces in Sayyad district of Sar-e Pol Province.

Elsewhere, an airstrike carried out by security forces killed two Taliban fighters and injured five others in Dawlat Abad district of Faryab Province.
