38 new COVID-19 cases in Afghanistan; tally jumps to 337

The total number of coronavirus patients surged to 337 on Sunday, according to public health ministry.

“Out of 100 suspected samples in Herat Province, ten cases have been registered positive. Similarly, out of 100 suspected samples, 28 positive cases have been registered in Kabul’s diagnostic lab,” Health Ministry Spokesman Wahidullah Mayar told reporters at a press conference.

The newly-registered cases are from Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, Balkh, Samangan, Kapisa, Takhar and Zabul provinces, Mayar added.

The ministry has been consistently urging citizens of Afghanistan to take its instructions seriously.
