At least 40 ISIS and Taliban fighters have surrendered to Afghan security in Kunar Province, local officials said.

The surrendered individuals include 34  ISIS and six Taliban fighters who laid down their arms and joined Afghan security forces, Provincial Governor Mohammad Iqbal Saeed said.

In the meantime, Provincial Police Chief of Kunar, Mohammad Yusuf Mazloomyar, says the war in Afghanistan is a foreign project imposed on Afghanistan under various names.
