581 new COVID-19 infections reported in Afghanistan

Afghan Public Health Ministry reported on Tuesday it registered 581 new positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number to 7,653.
According to the ministry, 165 cases have been registered in Kabul, 134 in Nangarhar, 55 in Balkh, 38 in Herat, 30 in Laghman, 29 in Paktia, 23 in Samangan, 21 in Ghazni, 16 in Kunar, 15 in Sar-e Pol, 13 in Badghis, 12 in Takhar, 9 in Panjshir, 5 in Baghlan, 4 in Parwan, 4 in Kunduz, 3 in Paktika, 2 in Khost, 1 in Daykundi, 1 in Wardak and 1 in Badakhshan province.
Five COVID-19 patients have died of the virus in the past 24 hours and 49 other have recovered, taking the total number of deaths to 178 and recovered to 850 countrywide, the ministry added.
