63 new COVID-19 positive cases registered in Afghanistan

The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Afghanistan has reached 996, with 63 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Public Health Ministry Spokesman Wahidullah Mayar told a news conference Sunday that the new cases were registered in Kabul, Balkh, Kunar, Herat, Baghlan, Faryab, Jowzjan and Laghman provinces.
“31 cases were recorded in Kabul, 16 in Balkh, six in Kunar, four in Herat, three in Baghlan, one in Faryab, one in Jowzjan and one in Laghman province,” he added.
Two people have died of the COVID-19 and 15 others recovered within the past 24 hours, the health ministry further stated.
