Police in Kabul has arrested 70 people on charges of various crimes over the past three weeks, the interior ministry said in a statement.

The individuals accused of murder and theft, were arrested during several operations from downtown Kabul and several districts, according to the statement.

Police seized 25 different types of weapons, five knives and six stolen cars from the detainees, the statement further added.

Three criminals were killed after they engaged in fighting with police, the statement went on saying.
