At least 80 civilians were killed in Taliban associated attacks in Afghanistan in the past week alone, Afghan ministry of interior affairs said.

Taliban fighters killed 79 civilians and injured 218 others in the third week of the fasting month of Ramadan which shows a 28 percent increase in the group’s attacks compared to the second week of Ramadan, the ministry’s spokesman Tariq Arian said on his twitter account.

Taliban has so far not commented on the remarks.
