The acting foreign minister of Afghanistan, Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the new head of Iran’s diplomatic mission in Kabul.

Both sides discussed political and economic issues between the countries, according to a foreign ministry statement.

The meeting also discussed Iran’s water rights and management of water resources, the ministry added.
