The Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan, Nooruddin Azizi, met with Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Sayyed Reza Fatemi Amin, and Head of Iran Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization (RMTO) Dariush Amani.

The two sides discussed expanding economic relations, increasing transit and trade, increasing the duration of business visas and reducing transit costs, according to a statement by the Afghan Ministry of Industry and Trade. New transit agreement between Iran and Afghanistan was also discussed during the meeting, the ministry added.

The Afghan minister also demanded Iran to invest in the agriculture and livestock sectors of Afghanistan, the statement further said.
