Afghan Chief Executive Officer, Abdullah Abdullah, announced on Sunday (14 April) in a statement that he won’t participate in the National Consultative Peace Jirga (NCPJ).

The statement has said that ” the stability and convergence team led by Dr. Abdullah Abdullah announces that it will not participate in the so-called consultative Jirga for peace and believes that the Jirga cannot solve the existing problems in Afghanistan.”

Meanwhile, the statement further added that” the grand assembly must be held after consultations with all the people of Afghanistan.”

The Peace Consultative Jirga is scheduled for 29th of April in which at least two thousand people would participate.
