Afghan forces kill 91 Taliban fighters in Kunduz

Afghan security forces inflicted heavy casualties on the Taliban during an operation conducted to cleanup Kunduz-Khan Abad highway from the Taliban, the defense ministry said in a statement.
The highway was closed for several days by Taliban fighters but is now open to traffic, the statement said.
Afghan forces killed 91 armed Taliban including several of their commanders and injured 50 others during air and ground operations, the defense ministry further added.
The Taliban has not yet commented on the report.
