At least 13 armed Taliban militants were killed and injured in two separate operations conducted by Afghan National Army in northern Faryab and Balkh provinces.

In a released statement, the 209 Shaheen military corps in north said that four Taliban fighters were killed during clashes with security forces in Balkh, Nahreshahi and Chemtal districts and four others got injured.

However, the Taliban claimed to have killed four ANA and injured 11 others in an attack on their convoy in Keshendeh district of Balkh province.

In a separate report, three Taliban fighters were killed and two others injured in Qaisar district of Faryab province.
