Afghan forces launch cleanup operation, kill ten Taliban in north

Afghan forces have launched a cleanup operation in northern Kunduz province to clear Kunduz-Khan Abad highway of the Taliban.
Provincial Police Chief Abdul Rashid Bashir says security forces have been able to link Khan Abad route with the provincial capital during the operation.
Security forces have killed ten Taliban fighters and defused 30 mines, he added.
Taliban have so far not commented on the report.
