Afghan Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday that security forces had repelled several attacks by Taliban on Imam Sahib district of northern Kunduz Province.

In a released statement, the ministry said Taliban fighters carried out the attacks from several directions on security outposts in Arbabkhil area of Imam Sahib district.

Ten Taliban fighters from the group’s red unit including one of their commanders have been killed and 14 others injured following the attacks, the statement further added.

One Afghan army solider was killed and four others got injured during clashes with Taliban, according to the statement.

However, a source has told Arezo TV that more than 10 Afghan army soldiers were killed while they were repelling Taliban attacks.
