Afghan forces suffer casualties in Taliban attacks in northern province

At least 20 Afghan security forces were killed in attacks carried out by the Taliban in northern Jowzjan Province.
Confirming the incident, a member of Jowzjan provincial council told Arezo News that Taliban fighters carried out attacks on several security outposts in Aqcha district on Tuesday night, killing 18 security personnel and injuring 9 others.
The Taliban also took away five security forces with themselves, he added.
In the meantime, Jowzjan provincial police spokesman, Maroof Azar, said seven security forces were killed and three others wounded in the Taliban. Taliban have also suffered heavy casualties as Afghan forces’ retaliated their attacks.
In a separate report, 9 security forces were killed and injured in a Taliban attack on a security outpost in Talwaka area of Kunduz city.
