Afghan MMA fighter Hussain Bakhsh Safari defeated his Russian rival Aktyabrin Yakovlev in Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC).

The competition was held yesterday evening in the Russian capital Moscow.

President Ghani also congratulated Hussain Bakhsh Safari on his victory and wished him more success.

Safari has participated in many competitions abroad and has won several gold and silver medals so far.

Last year, for the second year in a row, the Afghan fighter topped the World Jujitsu Federation rankings in the “Full Contact” category.
