Afghan National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib has met with the European Union Special Envoy for Afghanistan Roland Kobia and discussed peace-related issues.

Mr. Mohib told the EU envoy that the Afghan government was fully ready for intra-Afghan talks and will attend the negotiations from a position of strength.

Mohib added: “There is a need to take advantage of the existing opportunity and that the parties involved in the process should also act upon their responsibilities “in a good way”.

Meanwhile, the EU special envoy for Afghanistan has called on Afghan politicians to make parallel decisions concerning the peace process.
