Afghan records 190 new cases; total 2,894

Afghanistan’s Public Health Ministry on Monday reported that 190 new positive cases of COVID-19 were registered in the past 24 hours.
According to the ministry, 41 cases were recorded in Paktia, 30 in Herat, 25 in Kandahar, 24 in Kabul, 17 in Balkh, 13 in Nangarhar, 11 in Laghman, 9 in Samangan, 6 in Sar-e Pol, 5 in Kunar, 3 in Zabul, 2 in Paktia, 1 in Khost, 1 in Uruzgan, 1 in Helmand and 1 case in Nimruz Province, taking the number of people infected with COVID-19 to 2,894.
Five people have also died of the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total of deaths to 90. 52 others also recovered, bringing the total to 397.
