Afghan spy agency arrests 19 insurgents in southern province

A network of 19 militants has been arrested in southern Kandahar Province.
The National Directorate of Security, NDS, in a statement, said that the Taliban fighters including three of their commanders were arrested alongside the Durand Line. They went to Pakistan for military training during the Winter season and returned back to Afghanistan and attempted to carry out terrorist attacks.
The statement added, that the Taliban fighters planned to carry out destructive activities at the order of the Quetta Council based in Pakistan, in Kandahar, Zabol, and Logar provinces.
