Afghanistan registers 680 new COVID-19 cases

Afghanistan’s Public Health Ministry says it has registered 680 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours.
According to the ministry, eight patients have died of the virus and 25 others have recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 257 and recovered to 1,328.
371 cases have been registered in Kabul, 111 cases in Herat, 75 cases in Balkh, 33 cases in Samangan, 22 cases in Takhar, 21 cases in Nangarhar, 18 cases in Laghman, 11 cases in Baghlan, 7 cases in Logar, 6 cases in Kunar, 2 cases in Parwan, 2 cases Bayman and 1 case in Daykundi Province, the health ministry said.
The total number of the positive COVID-19 cases in Afghanistan has reached 15,205.
