Afghanistan reports 280 new COVID-19 cases; total 4,967

Afghanistan on Tuesday announced it registered 280 new positive cases of the new coronavirus.
Deputy Health Minister Wahidullah Majroh told a news conference the new cases were registered 19 provinces in the past 24 hours.
According to the ministry, 84 cases have been recorded in Kabul, 33 in Balkh, 28 in Wardak, 20 in Nangarhar, 20 in Badghis, 14 in Takhar, 13 in Kandahar, 12 in Herat, 12 in Panjshir, 7 in Helmand, 5 in Sar-e Pol, 5 in Zabul, 4 in Parwan, 4 in Jowzjan, 4 in Kunduz, 3 in Badakhshan, 3 in Kapisa, 2 in Ghor,in Nimruz, 1 in Uruzgan, 1 in Samangan, 1 in Bamyan, 1 in Faryab, 1 in Paktia province, taking the tally to 4,967.
Also, 5 people have died due to the virus in Kandahar, Nimruz and Jowzjan provinces, bringing the total number of deaths to 127 countrywide.
