The Foreign Ministry of Afghanistan has called on Pakistan to stop missile shelling on the Afghan soil.
Acting Foreign Minister Mohammad Haneef Atmar in a meeting with the visiting Pakistani Deputy Foreign Minister Sohail Mahmood urged Islamabad to stop cross-border shelling.
Atmar also stressed the need to prevent the construction of arbitrary facilities by Pakistan, keep the border crossings between Afghanistan and Pakistan opened, and expand military and security cooperation between the two countries.
In the meantime, Kabul hosted a meeting of Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity (APAPPS) to review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations.
