Afghanistan’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, Sayed Tayeb Jawad, has been awarded the diplomat of the year by “Diplomat Magazine”, the Afghan Embassy in the UK reported.

The Diplomat Magazine presented the award during a ceremony attended by diplomats from 90 countries in London. The award was received by Jawad’s wife, Shamim Jawad on his behalf.

This award is presented for diplomats and ambassadors from Asia and Pacific in Britain for their outstanding works and achievements. Last year’s award in this category was offered to the Japanese ambassador.
