Afghanistan’s COVID-19 cases jump to 367 with 11 deaths

The number of people infected with COVID-19 in Afghanistan has surged to over 367, Public Health Ministry said on Monday.
Speaking to reporters, the ministry’s spokesman Wahidullah Mayar said that “30 positive cases were registered in diagnostic labs of Herat and Kabul provinces over the past 24 hours.”
“16 people had tested positive in Herat, while the capital Kabul reported six new cases. Elsewhere, three cases were registered in Kunduz, two in Faryab and two in Daikundi provinces,”Mayar said.
Meanwhile, out of six positive cases of the COVID-19 in Balkh, three have died of the virus so far.
Officials of Balkh regional hospital say two new positive cases were registered out of eight suspected cases. One person has so far recovered in Balkh, according to local health officials.
