Afghanistan’s COVID-19 cases reach 22,890

Afghanistan’s Public Health Ministry on Thursday registered 748 positive cases of the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours.
The new cases have been recorded out of 1,888 suspected samples in 12 provinces, according to the ministry.
311 cases have been registered in Kabul, 181 cases in Herat, 78 cases in Paktia, 50 cases in Kandahar, 36 cases in Nangarhar, 32 cases in Badghis, 21 cases in Parwan, 10 cases in Kapisa, 10 cases in Kunar, 8 cases in Ghor, 6 cases in Farah and 5 cases in Laghman provinces, the ministry said.
Also, 21 patients have died of the virus and 326 others have recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 424 and recovered to 3,326.
