Afghanistan’s COVID-19 cases rise to 1,463

133 new positive cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Afghanistan within the past 24 hours, Afghan Public Health Ministry said on Saturday.
“25 cases have been registered in Herat, 21 in Balkh, 20 in Kandahar, 19 Paktia, 7 Nimruz, 6 Samangan, three in Zabul, three in Kapisa, three in Logar, three in Takhar, two in Ghor, two in Bamyan, two in Uruzgan, one in Baghlan, one in Wardag, one in Helmand, one in Parwan province, bringing the tally to 1,463,” spokesman for the health ministry, Wahidullah Mayar, said.
Mayar has also urged Afghan citizens to take precautionary measures during the fasting month of Ramadan.
