Afghanistan’s COVID-19 cases rise to 18,054

Afghanistan on Thursday reported it had registered 787 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, bringing to the total to 18,054 since its outbreak.
According to Afghanistan’s Public Health Ministry 6 patients have died of the virus and 63 others have recovered, bringing the total number of deaths to 300 and recovered to 1,585.
323 positive cases have been registered in Kabul, 110 cases in Herat, 65 cases in Kandahar, 54 cases in Nangarhar, 48 cases in Badghis, 40 cases in Khost, 36 cases in Paktia, 34 cases in Balkh, 32 cases in Paktika, 18 cases in Nimruz, 15 cases in Kunar, 8 cases in Takhar, 2 cases in Bamyan, 1 case in Logar and 1 case in Parwan province, the ministry said.
