Afghanistan’s COVID-19 cases rise to 3,224

The total number of people infected with COVID-19 in Afghanistan has reached 3,224, after Afghanistan reported 330 new cases in one day. according to the public health ministry.
330 more cases out of 981 samples have been registered in 23 provinces in the past 24 hour, Public Health Deputy Minister Wahid Majroh told a press conference on Tuesday.
59 cases have been registered in Herat, 45 in Kabul, 41 in Kandahar, 38 in Balkh, 26 in Paktia, 13 in Nangarhar, 12 in Panjshir, 11 in Laghman, 11 in Takhar, 10 in Samangan, 10 in Logar, 9 in Paktika, 7 in Parwan, 6 in Faryab, 5 in Kunar, 5 in Kunduz, 5 in Ghazni, 4 in Kapisa, 4 in Wardak, 3 in Badakhshan, 3 in Zabul, 2 in Farah and 1 case in Helmand province, the ministry said.
Majroh added that 24 people have also recovered within the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 421, while 5 others died of the virus, taking the total number of fatalities to 95.
He once again said that no vaccine had so far been produced for the COVID-19, urging people to take health instructions seriously and avoid gatherings.
