Afghanistan’s robotic team wins 2nd place in intl contest

The Afghan girls’ robotics team won the second place out of 88 countries in the “PCBe the Change” world competition sponsored by Upverter Education, Arduino and IPC Education Foundation.
The team introduced a smart traffic plan in which the traffic lights could be operated remotely by connecting to the Internet and traffic flow problems could be solved.
Former President Hamid Karzai and chairman of the reconciliation council of the former government, Abdullah Abdullah, described the victory a great achievement for Afghanistan.
They also expressed hope that with the beginning of the new educational season for girls and boys in the country, the ground will be provided for other pupils and students to improve their learning abilities.
