Anti-corruption commission begins work in Afghanistan

Five members of the anti-corruption commission took oath at the presidential in the presence of Afghan president, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, on Sunday.
Second vice president, Sarwar Danish, House Speaker Mir Rahman Rahmani, chairman of the upper house, Fazl Hadi Muslimyar, chief of justice, Sayed Yusuf Halim, head of the Supreme Court and some cabinet members were present during the oath-taking ceremony.
The Anti-Corruption Commission was established by president Ghani this month following a presidential decree. Mr. Ghani has acalled it an important step in the fight against corruption.
