Unidentified armed men assassinated a lawyer in the capital Kabul Province on Tuesday evening.

The lawyer was killed in the restive of Kabul’s 15th security precinct, according to Ferdows Faramarz, spokesman for Kabul police headquarters.

Two people were arrested in connection with the incident and their dossiers were sent to judicial bodies for further investigation, Faramarz added.

This comes as target killings have recently increased in the country particularly in the capital Kabul.
