A boy in Worsaj district of northeastern Takhar Province has killed his mother with an axe and chopped off one of his sister’s hand, according to local police officials.

The incident took place on Monday (18 November), provincial police spokesman Khalil Asir said.

The reason for the murder is still unknown, but police has arrested the murderer, Asir added.

An investigation has been launched into the incident, according to Takhar police spokesman.
