Car bomb explosion rocks township in south Afghanistan

A vehicle packed with explosives went off in Aino Mina township in southern Kandahar Province on Wednesday morning.
The explosion occurred in the restive of 11th security precinct of Kandahar, Provincial Police Spokesman Jamal Naser Barekzai said.
Mr. Barakzai did not comment on casualties, but a security source told Arezo that five policemen were injured in the incident.
In a separate report, one person was killed this morning as a result of a hand grenade thrown in the sixth security district of the province.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the incidents.
