Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation (HCNR) arrived in Tashkent on Tuesday evening.

He is scheduled to meet Uzbek president, first vice president, foreign minister, head of the Islamic board and some other high-profile officials of the country.

Peace talks in Doha, regional consensus and support of the region for the process is on the agenda of Abdullah’s visit.

Relations between Kabul and Tashkent will also be discussed during the visit.

The head of HCNR had previously traveled to Iran, Pakistan and India to seek regional support for the peace process.
