COVID-19 cases in Afghanistan rise to 14,525

Afghanistan Public Health Ministry on Saturday reported it registered 866 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus in 17 provinces in the past 24 hours.
According to the ministry, 411 cases have been registered in Kabul, 177 cases in Herat, 39 cases in Balkh, 35 cases in Nangarhar, 29 cases in Takhar, 28 cases in Paktia, 27 cases in Parwan, 26 cases in Badghis, 19 cases in Logar, 19 cases in Baghlan, 16 cases in Kunduz, 15 cases in Kapisa, 10 cases in Ghazni, 6 cases in Panjshir, 4 cases in Badakhshan, 3 cases in Wardak and 2 cases in Faryab Province.
Also, three patients have died of the virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 249. 44 others have recovered, taking the total to 1303.
