Taliban have once again carried out an attack on Bala Murghab district in northwestern Badghis Province of Afghanistan.

 Head of Badghis provincial council has said that heavy fighting is underway between the Taliban and security forces in some areas within the center of Badghis province.

In the meantime, Bala Murghab police chief has warned that the district is on the verge of collapse to the Taliban if the central government fails to provide them urgent military support.

According to local officials, over the past month, the Taliban carried out a number of attacks on Bala Murghab capturing several army checkpoints.
