According to initial reports, three individuals including a military personnel and two civilians have been killed and 41 others got injured in a car bombing in Balkh district of northern Balkh Province.

A Mazda type vehicle packed with explosives exploded at the entrance of a commando forces’ outpost in Balkh district at 9 a.m local time, 209 Shaheen Military Corps in north said.

Six commando forces have sustained injuries in the car bombing and another lost his life in the incident, while many casualties are inflicted on civilians, the 209 Shaheen Military Corps commander said.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the car bombing.
