Dozens killed and injured in twin car bombings in Afghanistan

At least 31 people were killed and 24 others were wounded as a suicide attacker struck his explosive-laden vehicle at an army base in Ghazni Province.
The car bombing took place at 8 am local time, local officials said.
Provincial governor spokesman said that 17 Afghan security personnel were killed and wounded in the explosion.
Separately, a car bomb explosion in Zabul Province killed four and injured 26 others. The explosion hit a convoy Attaullah Haq Bayan, the head of Zabul provincial council. He sustained injuries in the explosion.
No group has yet claimed responsibilities for these attacks that caused huge financial losses.
