Police has arrested eight people on charges of murder and armed thefts from three provinces of the country.

Three professional thieves were arrested from Kapisa Province, the interior ministry said in a statement.

The statement added that police arrested four others from Khost, and another one accused of murder from Takhar Province.

The arrests have been made as criminal cases have risen in many provinces of the country in recent months.
