Eight killed, 20 injured in last night’s Kabul car bombing

Eight people were killed and nearly 20 others were injured in an explosion that targeted the residential house of the acting defense minister, Bismillah Mohammad, last night.
Interior Ministry spokesman Mirwais Stanekzai said several assailants clashed with security forces after the blast. He added that the assailants were gunned down after five hours of clashes.
The acting defense minister also said that he and his family were not injured in the incident and that several of his bodyguards were wounded.
