Member of the Afghan peace negotiating team, Fawzia Kofi, has survived an assassination attempt on Friday evening.

Unknown armed men attacked Mrs. Kofi’s vehicle in Qara Bagh district of Kabul City, where she sustained superficial wounds, head of the peace negotiating team, Masum Stanekzai, said on his twitter.

Mrs. Kofi served as MP from Badakhshan Province for two terms and is now member of the peace negotiating team with the Taliban.

No one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
