At least five civilians lost their lives in a mine explosion in eastern Ghazni Province.

A car carrying members of a single family hit a roadside mine in Firuzkoh region, leaving five killed including a pregnant woman, Provincial Governor Spokesman Wahidullah Juma Zadah said.

The car was on the way to the provincial hospital, he added.
