Five more COVID- 19 cases registered in Afghanistan

Afghan Health Ministry reported to have registered five more positive cases of the novel coronavirus in Herat and Daikundi provinces.
Spokesman for the ministry Wahid Mayar said four positive cases were registered in Herat and another case was registered in Daikundi province within the past 214 hours.
So far, ten positive cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Herat, two positive cases in Samangan, and three more in Balkh, Kapisa and Daikundi provinces.
Health Ministry also said that there were also 56 suspected cases of COVID-19 in the country.
In the meantime, President Ghani has stressed the need to take serious action against the novel coronavirus.
In a video conference with provincial governors of Herat, Nimruz, Balkh, Kapisa and Kabul, Ghani has urged them to launch awareness programs via media outlets, religious scholars and health activists.
The Afghan government has also closed down private and governmental educational centers and universities until April 15.
